It was interesting comparing the cultures of Midsumma Carnival to Provincetown Bear Week.
Around here, I’m the big bull.
As I was working Asian tourists were coming up to take photographs with me. Other people were staring and taking sneaky photos with their cameras.
(It’s worth noting that compared to our American counterparts, Australian self-identified bears are significantly smaller in weight and waist size. Also, speaking anecdotally, “Musclebears” aren’t even remotely as present as an idea or in numbers)
